I woke this morning to excerpts from this interview of Joe Biden with local Orlando reporter Barbara West. The excerpts tend to focus on the Senator's quibbles at the tough questions. What was omitted was his entire response, in which he actually answers the questions. So, the link for those of you that might be interested.
Orlando reporter Barbara West interviews Senator Joe Biden.
I believe the answers are substantive responses to the questions and one of the stronger moments Biden has had during this campaign. The Obama campaign cancelled an interview with Biden's wife, Jill, creating the impression that Biden was angy. I believe this is unfortunate, since he did a good job.
This is another bit of evidence that the prize has become too valuble. The campaigns are managed so tightly that any hint of activity outside the plan is terrifying to the candidates and their handlers. We never get to know the candidates in reality, just as spokesmen and -women for the machines that craft and protect their message.
